March, 1957. According to the executive order of the Electrical Industry Ministry of the USSR the Special Design Bureau "Electric Furnace" was organized in Kharkov to perform electric furnaces design.

September, 1961. There was formed the Zaporozhye branch office of the Kharkov Special Design Bureau "Electric Furnace".

January, 1968. The Kharkov Special Design Bureau was reorganized into the branch of the Special Design Bureau «ВНИИЭТО».

January, 1992. The Kharkov branch of the Special Design Bureau «ВНИИЭТО» was reorganized into the rented enterprise UkrNIIElectroterm.

November, 2002. There was created the UkrNIIElectroterm LLC in Zaporozhye because of the liquidation of the Kharkov office.

Currently the UkrNIIElektroterm’s staff counts over 80 qualified professionals, we work with young professionals, expand the scope of activities.
Our major consumers are metallurgical and machine-building enterprises of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Mongolia, etc.
